Sen. Mike Crapo (R-ID) has introduced legislation to force federal financial regulators to expand the range of rules now under review for simplification and community-bank relief. Over time, the agencies covered by this expanded approach would need to seek comment on their more recent requirements – omitted from ongoing inquiries – but no timetable is set for doing so nor is any action required by the bill based on this review.
