Agency Heads Advance CRA Reform
Vice Chair Brainard, Acting FDIC Chairman Gruenberg, and Acting Comptroller Hsu today largely reiterated remarks of a previous CRA conference, describing the pending proposal (see FSM Report CRA32) and laying out the benefits they see in a modernized, inter-agency standard. Mr. Hsu and Ms. Brainard responded to questions at a “fireside chat” with the head of a leading community advocacy group; Mr. Gruenberg gave more detailed remarks.
