Consistent with longstanding FHFA policy and the direction of recent Administration recommendations, FHFA Acting Director DeMarco yesterday continued the push-back against FHLB efforts to rewrite their franchises and find ways to supplement the steep declines in advance demand. So far, the FHLB effort to force a return to past policies appears to be gaining little traction with either FHFA or the White House.
