The FRB is seeking views on definitions that will determine which nonbank financial companies may be subject to systemic regulation if they trigger risk criteria under development by the Financial Stability Oversight Council (FSOC).  The standards will also drive other provisions of the Dodd-Frank Act, such as coverage under reporting requirements issued by the Office of Financial Research and possible credit limits for “significant” entities that are not themselves necessarily subject to systemic regulation.
