What stress tests mean for banks, us

 

As big banks get results from their stress tests, some say Bank of America and Citigroup may need to raise billions in capital to keep running. What do the results mean for the banks and public?  So what about the banks that don’t get an A on the stress tests? Karen Petrou is managing director of Federal Financial Analytics: The two ways to deal with this are to raise capital or shed assets, and I think the banks will try to do both.
