Financial 411: The New Congress and the Economy

It’s official. There will be a second round of quantitative easing. The Federal Reserve says it will buy more of Treasury bonds — $600 billion worth — in an attempt to stimulate the economy. NYC’s Amy Eddings spoke with Karen Shaw Petrou, co-founder and Managing Partner of Federal Financial Analytics in Washington, D.C. Her company analyzes government policies for large financial institutions. Petrou talks about what she thinks the priorities are for the new Congress.
