Bipartisan members of the House and Senate have introduced legislation designed to correct a technical error in the Lincoln “push-out” provisions of the Dodd-Frank Act pertaining to foreign banks and more broadly rewrite the law to reduce the impact of the push-out on all U.S. banking organizations by expanding the types of derivatives activities not subject to transfer into a holding-company affiliate.
