OCC has launched a sweeping review of its rules, definitions, and chartering requirements applicable to national banks, savings associations, and foreign banking organizations (FBOs) interested in fiduciary, trust, and custody activities.  This comes in concert with pending rules to eliminate central-bank deposits in the calculation of the supplementary leverage ratio (SLR) for custody banks and, perhaps, custody activities in more universal banking organizations.
