The CFPB is proposing to permit consumers to post their own stories in addition to the complaints now posted on the Bureau’s web-based database. These narratives would be only posted with consumer consent and after personally-identifiable information has been scrubbed, with this process still raising privacy concerns on which comment is requested. Providers could post a rebuttal that would face the complaint to permit better third-party evaluation of the case.
