Although Speaker Ryan has of course distanced himself from much in the forthcoming GOP convention, its draft platform reflects his longstanding views on GSE and housing reform, going beyond those of Jeb Hensarling in several areas and laying out a political path for the next Congress plausible only if the GOP controls the White House and both sides of the Capitol.
