In this report, FedFin assesses three reports the Financial Stability Board has just released that, in our view, point to the challenges ahead for both the FSB and the G-20 at the Brisbane summit.  The reports come from regulatory committees comprised separately of government officials from the Americas and Asia. Both groups took on pending FSB work on “shadow” banks, now more carefully called non-bank financial institutions, with Asia also considering the FSB’s new G-SIB capital standards.
